Every day, another space is finished. By the end of June, seats had been installed in the recital hall and large lecture classroom. In addition, most of the furniture and equipment that will be moved from the old high school has already found its new home. View Slideshow

Director of Administrative Services Rosalyn Pautzke presented a facilities improvement update at the May 26 meeting. It inlcuded information about construction progress at the new Farmington High School and plans for moves this summer.

A sunny day finally provided a good opportunity to take some pictures of the school's exterior. Sod and landscaping have been completed in many areas, and a crew began installing the turf in the new Tiger Stadium today. View Slideshow
Technology bids awards
The School Board approved three technology-related contracts for the new high school at its May 11 meeting, including computer purchases, video production lighting, and instructional technology.

With a little more than a month to go before the end of the school year, the new FHS continues to near completion so teachers and other staff can move in this summer. Phone/data bid awarded for new FHS
The School Board awarded the bid for phone systems at the new Farmington High School on March 9.

New Video: Staff take viewers through the new FHS
A new video featuring teachers and administrators walking viewers through different parts of the new high school is now playing on Educational Access Channel 10 at streaming at Ed Channel Online. If you have Channel 10, the 30-minute tour video is running at 5 a.m., 11 a.m., 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. daily.
Artificial Turf bid awarded
At its Nov. 24 meeting, the School Board awarded the bid for installing artifical turf on the new Farmingotn High School stadium field to Field Turf in the amount of $500,201.81 for the company's Duraspine product.

Auxiliary Gymnasium bids awarded
At a Sept. 10 meeting, the School Board awarded two of three bids related to construction of the auxiliary gymnasium at the new Farmington High School.

Artificial Turf approved for new FHS stadium
At its April 28 meeting, the Farmington Area School Board approved the plan to install artificial turf on the stadium field of the new Farmington High School. In supporting the decision, several board members noted that the artificial surface would likely be used at least 10 times as much as a natural grass field.

Board approves plan to add two-court auxiliary gym
At its March 24 meeting, the Farmington Area School Board approved a plan to construct a two-court auxiliary gymnasium as part of the new FHS.
