Farmington Marching Band The Farmington High School Bands are in the midst of a busy fall concert series, as was demonstrated by over 1,800 people who attended the recent Band Brunch and Indoor Marching Band show. In its 30th year, the annual brunch raises funds for the band program and its students, including an upcoming trip to Hawaii.

A series of additional performances are upcoming, and the public is encouraged to attend.

On Monday, November 13, the high school's Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Varsity Band will perform in concert at 7 p.m. the Recital Hall. This concert will feature a variety of classic and contemporary pieces, including the “Washington Post” march by John Philip Sousa and a dramatic programmatic piece by Robert W. Smith entitled “The Inferno.” Admission is free.

On Tuesday, November 14, the FHS Wind Ensemble will join forces with the eighth grade bands from both Dodge and Boeckman Middle Schools, a unique "bridging" concert that will include a variety of music both contemporary and classic, such as "The Stars and Stripes Forever" march. The bridging concert is at 7 p.m. in the FHS Recital Hall. Admission is free.

In addition, the jazz bands are performing a special Swing Dance at Glenhaven Events on November 20 that is already sold out.
