GED Information

To begin, create an account at GED.com.

The test is available to individuals age 19 and older who are not currently enrolled in high school.

Individuals aged 17-18 must obtain an age waiver from the Minnesota Department of Education. Age waiver information is available here.

Testing occurs at official GED Testing Centers on computers. Testing center locations can be found on the GED.com website after creating an account.

The full test is comprised of four separate subtests. Each subtest costs $30 and must be paid for with a credit card on the GED website. Those taking the GED in MN can currently get $10 off the first test in each subject with the code MNGED10 at checkout.
