|| Farmington Community EXPO - Last Saturday in January
This annual events showcases organizations and businesses that are located within the Farmington School district boundaries. A small fee reserves an exhibit space in this exclusive EXPO. Over 2500 community members attend the EXPO each year, learning about Farmington, meeting neighbors and enjoying entertainment. See why Farmington is a great place to live, work and play! Co-sponsors include the City of Farmington, the Farmington Rosemount Independent Town Pages and the Farmington Business Association. The 2017 EXPO will be on Saturday, Jan 28th, from 9 am to Noon.
||Farmington/Lakeville Speaking of Kids Seminars
Do you have kids? Work with kids? Care for kids? Speaking of Kids is for you! Come and enjoy seminars that empower parents, educators, and caregivers by providing information and ideas to enhance your relationship with children and help them succeed.
Workshops are 1 1/2 hours in length and are typically held in October, November, February and March. Details for the 2016-17 school year can be found here. A safe, fun place to trick or treat! Children are encouraged to wear their costumes, bring their trick and treat bags and a non-perishable food item for the Farmington Food Shelf. Costumed characters, local businesses and organizations will hand out free, safe candy. Parents should accompany their children. This event is sponsored by City of Farmington Park and Rec, Farmington Community Education and local businesses and organizations.

This annual celebration has 3 goals:
- Promote patriotism throughout our community by uniting the schools community with community partners. Defining patriotism as "love of country accompanied by willingness to serve one's country."
- A chance to involve the entire school community and surrounding community in events/activities/learnings before, during, and after the date of the celebration.
- Provide an opportunity to infuse patriotic pride and love of country awareness in students and their families.
The celebration includes a free community meal and a patriotic presentation that includes a keynote speaker, recognition of service men and women in our community, and performances of patriotic music by elementary and secondary choirs and bands. More information will be on the district website before the event. Co-sponsors include Farmington Area Public Schools, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 189, Farmington Lions Club, Farmington VFW Post 7762, Farmington VFW Auxiliary Post 7662, and the Farmington Yellow Ribbon Network.
