Single-Leg Standing Calf Raise - Body Weight

TECHNIQUE & IMPORTANT INFO:

 

1. This exercise can be done pretty much anywhere you can stand on something that is at least a couple inches above ground level.  Step, stairs, benches all work for this.

2. Place the ball of one foot on the edge of the step.  Keep the other foot off.  Your body weight will be adequate resistance if using one leg at a time.

3. Lower your heel down far enough to feel a stretch in your calf muscles.

4. Then extend back up,  all the way onto your toes.

5. Make sure you always use your full range of motion.
