State Standardized Testing
In Minnesota, the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) are the

students' progress toward academic standards. The MCA tests are given in
reading to students in grades 3-8 and 10; in math to students in grades
3-8 and 11; and in science to students in grades 5, 8 and 10. The state
also administers the Graduation-Required Assessment for Diploma (GRAD)
