As was reported last spring, Dr. Steven Geis will serve as the 2016-17 President of the National Association of Elementary School Principals. We are proud of his accomplishment and pleased to share his skills with others; however, this will require his absence from North Trail Elementary during the next school year. It is with excitement we share the news that Ms. Vicky Lippert will serve North Trail Elementary students, staff, and families as the Interim Principal during the 2016-17 school year. Her appointment was officially approved at the April 25th School Board meeting.
Ms. Lippert has been an elementary teacher leader for the past 20 years, most recently as a teacher on special assignment and Facilitator of Instructional Support for Riverview Elementary. She is known for her tireless work ethic, and positive, honest communication. Outside of teaching, Ms. Lippert loves spending time with her husband, three children, and three grandchildren. She enjoys being outdoors in all seasons, bonfires, gardening, baking, and quilting. “I am looking forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff,” said Ms. Lippert, “North Trail has a strong mission statement and I am excited to be able to support their vision.”
Dr. Geis will work with Ms. Lippert in the upcoming months to ensure a smooth transition. “Ms. Lippert will do a fantastic job as the interim principal. I know this for she has the experience, expertise, and relationship building skills needed to be successful. Additionally she has previously been a guest principal at NTES, knows the staff, and will expeditiously reacquaint herself with the families. I am excited for her and NTES,” wrote Dr. Geis.
