Tharen Johnson will fill the position of Head Boys’ Basketball Coach* which was recently left vacant by Shane Wyandt after 12 strong seasons. Johnson has 13 years of coaching experience, 12 of which are as the Assistant Boys’ Basketball Coach at Farmington High School. Over the years he has coached the junior varsity team, assisted with game planning for the varsity team, created a team website, and run social media accounts for the Farmington basketball program among other coaching duties. Beyond the high school program, Johnson has coached and directed youth and community basketball programs in Farmington.

Having recently moved to Farmington with his wife and children, Johnson is fully committed to building relationships throughout the community and strengthening the connection between youth programs and the high school program. Johnson shared on the Farmington Basketball website: “I am excited to lead this program and hope to continue the growth of basketball in the Farmington community. I am also looking forward to working with the athletes, parents, and everyone else involved to make these coming seasons a positive and successful experience.”
