Farmington High School welcomes Madelynn Salisbury as New Head Dance Coach
Farmington High School is pleased to welcome Madelynn Salisbury as the new Head Dance Coach. Salisbury brings 10 years of coaching experience at the varsity level to the position. She has previously coached dance teams in Marshall, Northfield, and Cannon Falls, Minnesota. During her time with Cannon Falls, Salisbury was named coach of the year by the Minnesota Association of Dance Teams.
Outside of coaching dance at the high school level, Salisbury has worked with student athletes ages 3-18 and is a parent of two. “I believe this experience is important in understanding and working with the needs of each and every athlete I teach,” she wrote. The Tigers are thrilled to welcome her to the team.
Farmington High School welcomes Aaron Johnson as new Head Girls’ Soccer Coach
Farmington High School is pleased to welcome Aaron Johnson as the new Head Coach of the girls’ soccer team. Johnson brings 15 years of coaching experience to the position. He is currently serving as the Estero High School Varsity Girls’ Soccer Coach in Estero, Florida and will be relocating to Minnesota over the summer. He has previously coached at the middle school, club, and high school levels. In addition to coaching soccer, Johnson has coached basketball, run a chess club, and served for two years as a middle school athletics director. During college, he played Division 1 soccer at Western Michigan University for four years.
“It is hard being a teacher and coach but every year you teach and coach you learn something new that helps you going forward and helps your students and athletic team,” Johnson wrote. The Tigers are excited to welcome him to the team and believe he will be a valuable asset going forward.
