Information regarding transportation for the 2016-17 school year will be available in late August, but for your planning purposes here is a brief reminder of our transportation policy as adopted by the School Board in 2013:
The policy of the school district is to provide for the transportation of students in a manner which will protect their health, welfare, and safety. In accordance with state requirements, all elementary school students within the district who live more than 1 mile from school, all secondary students who live more than 2 miles from school, and students who would otherwise encounter a hazard in their walkway to school are provided transportation. Elementary students who live between 0.5 and 1 mile from school are eligible for a Pay for Ride program. Families of incoming kindergarten students or students who have previously participated in the Pay for Ride program should have received a letter with additional details. If you have questions about the Pay for Ride program or district transportation policies, please contact Jane Houska at (651)463-5043 or email@example.com.
