FHS band members will perform Thursday, August 11, at 1 p.m. at the Dakota County Fair.
Members of the Farmington Tiger Marching Band recently completed a week-long Band Camp. The band spent the week in intense rehearsals as they began to put together their fall field marching show, Rave from the Graves of Vienna. The 130-member marching band memorized music and marching drills in preparation for football halftime shows as well as several competitive festivals, including an appearance at the new U.S. Bank Stadium for the Youth in Music Marching Band Championships on Saturday, October 8. The band’s camp week is made possible by Farmington Area Public Schools and the FHS Band Boosters.
Community members can see and hear the band this week at the Dakota County Fair. The band performs Thursday, August 11, at 1 p.m. under the direction of Erin Holmes and Bradley Mariska. Drum Majors for 2016 are senior Donald Selmer and junior Taylor Phinney.
