Healthy Hero: November 2017
Posted on 11/21/2017
Kim Lester Congratulations to Kim Lester, an Administrative Assistant with Community Education, on being named the Farmington Area Public Schools Healthy Hero for the month of November! Kim was nominated by Community Education Communications Generalist Kris Akin because of the exceptional example she is setting for her co-workers and the community. In the past year Kim has implemented a healthy eating plan which incorporates more fruits, veggies, and protein. She is taking in fewer carbohydrates and no tobacco or alcohol. The end result? She’s lost 20 pounds and those around her are noticing.

Kim’s advice to others who want to improve their health: “Take small steps, healthy changes day to day, week to week, to achieve results.”

Farmington Area Public Schools Healthy Heroes are members of our school community who have made positive changes to enhance wellness in their lives. They are selected from nominations submitted to our Farmington Area Public Schools Wellness Committee. For more information about the wellness committee please click here.
