As we prepare for the 2016-17 school year, Farmington Area Public Schools is happy to welcome more than 45 teachers new to the district. Thanks to the generous support of our community in passing a levy last fall, this group includes 12 brand new teaching positions which have helped to lower class sizes at all schools and provide additional learning opportunities.
All teachers bring their own unique histories and experiences to their classrooms. One thing all the teachers new to Farmington share is an excitement for the new school year and enthusiasm for the mission of Farmington Area Public Schools: to ensure that each student reaches his or her highest aspirations while embracing responsibility to community through a system distinguished by supporting individuality while understanding our interdependence; developing wisdom and integrity of each individual; nurturing the will to succeed in each student; customized learning environments; and deep community collaboration.
We hope you will join us in welcoming these new members of our school community!
