You are planning a
trip to Spain and want to look “cool” to the Spanish teenagers you meet there.
You have a limited budget, but plan to buy five items for your travel wardrobe.
In Spanish, name five different clothing items you might select and choose a
budget. Record this on your worksheet.

Primera
parte: Palabras Nuevas
You will see the following words on the homepage: alimentación, electrónica, hogar, moda, deportes,
viajes, bebés, buscar, rebajas, hasta. What do you think they mean? Record your educated
guesses on your worksheet.
Next,
go to MODA and
choose HOMBRE or MUJER (depending on whether you are male or female). Choose the
categories on the left hand side
and browse their selection.
See if the items you listed
in Antes de navegar are listed. There may be
many choices. They may be pictured or just listed by name. You may want to
click on several to compare before you make your selection.
Select five items that
interest you and record the information (artículo,
color & Euros) about each one on your worksheet. *You will want to wait to do your currency and size conversions into
dollars until after all of your items have been selected.

Parte: Tallas
Go to one of the size
conversion websites and figure out the conversion for the sizes that you need
for the clothes that you selected. Write your sizes in the chart on your
worksheet.
Women’s
clothing size conversions
Men’s clothing
size conversions
*Tercera parte: Precios
The
items you selected were listed on the website in Euros. Use the currency converter link to
figure out how much each new item of clothing costs in dollars. Write this
information in the chart on your worksheet. Also, total the cost of your items
in Euros and dollars and record that on your worksheet.
