Farmington Varsity Competition Cheer Caps Historic Season with Two State Titles and Strong National Finish

The Farmington High School Varsity Competition Cheer Team just concluded an unforgettable season, capturing two State Championships and earning impressive placements on the national
Stage.

The team claimed state titles in both Traditional and Game Day divisions, showcasing
exceptional athleticism, precision, school spirit and teamwork. Competing against the top
programs in the state, FHS athletes delivered standout performances that earned them the
highest honors and solidified their place among the state’s elite.

Building on their state success, the team attended the National School Spirit Championships last month in Orlando, Florida, where they continued to raise the bar. Facing some of the most competitive programs in the country, Farmington Varsity earned a remarkable 2nd place finish in Large Varsity Non-Tumble and secured 11th place in Large Varsity Non-Tumble Game Day. With tight scoring margins and multiple rounds of competition, the team demonstrated resilience, focus, and professionalism on a national platform.

“This season was a testament to the athletes’ dedication and commitment,” said Jen Kroshus,
Program Director. “Winning two state titles and finishing second in the nation is an incredible
accomplishment. Our athletes trained tirelessly and represented our school and community with
pride.”

The success reflects almost a full year of preparation involving hundreds of hours inside and
outside of the gym attending camps, clinics, choreography sessions, local competitions, out-of-state competitions, and a shared commitment to excellence. The team’s achievements were
made possible through the support of their families, the FCCT Booster Club, Farmington
Community Education, FHS school administration, and the broader community.

As the program looks ahead to next season, the standard has been set high. With strong
leadership and returning talent, Farmington Varsity Cheer aims to build on this historic year and
continue its tradition of excellence.
