Dakota Prairie Adult Basic Education (ABE) serves the Farmington, Northfield, and Randolph school district areas, and helps hundreds of adults meet their goal of speaking and reading English more fluently. We have wonderful licensed teachers who are always looking for volunteers to help them in the classroom.
Do you have 2.5 to 3 hours a week to give to one of our ESL classrooms? You would be an extra pair of hands as you aid the teacher in helping adults students. Meet new friends and people from around the world, and make a big impact in your community by becoming an adult ESL classroom volunteer.
No experience necessary! We will show you what to do!
We are especially looking for volunteers on Thursday mornings from 9:15-11:45 a.m., and on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 5:45-8:15 p.m. Classes are currently held at Meadowview Elementary school (Community Education wing).
