The Farmington Special Education Advisory Council is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 SEAC Hero Award. This award is given to recognize people in District 192 who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our special education students. Awards were presented to the recipients during Inclusive School Week, December 3-7, 2018.
     
This year the awards went to:
— Lisa Schunk, science teacher at BMS
— Trey Egner, 7th grade student at BMS
— Caroline Orfei, early childhood special education teacher at ARES
— Sara Copenhaver, kindergarten teacher at MVES
— Makenzie Rau-Lehmann, 12th grade student at FHS

Congratulations to these award winners, and thank you for helping to make our schools a more inclusive place for all learners!

If you know of someone who would deserve a SEAC Hero Award, nominations can be sent to Heather Bergstrom, hbergstrom@farmington.k12.mn.us, in the special education office anytime throughout the year to be considered for next years awards.
