Farmington Tigers Athletics Highlights
Fall 2018

We are so proud of all our student-athletes, coaches and volunteers who took part in the fall athletics season! It was a great season for the Farmington Tigers overall and there were many, many success stories. Here is a small overview of highlights from fall 2018.

Girls Swim and Dive won the Section True Team Meet. Coach Jen Marshall was named Section Coach of the Year and her two assistant coaches, Callie Doffing and Elizebeth Donner, were named Assistant Coaches of the Year.  We sent a number of swimmers and one diver to the state meet.

Girls Cross Country won the SSC Conference Championship for the second year in a row, won the section meet for the second year in a row, and took 4th at state. Coach Adam Lippold was named the Section Coach of the Year.

Boys Cross Country took second at the section meet qualifying them for the state meet for the first time since 1985.

Boys Soccer won the SSC Conference Championship this fall. It is our first soccer conference championship and our first SSC Conference Championship in a boys sport.  Assistant Coach Wyatt Wagner was named the State Assistant Coach of the Year.

Bill Tschida, Athletics Director for Farmington Area Public Schools, has been named the Region 1AA Athletic Director of the Year by the Minnesota State High School League! Tschida has been with District 192 since 2013 and has helped the Tigers find success over the last five years as they've moved into the South Suburban Conference.

A huge thank you to the many people who made fall athletics a success for our Farmington Tigers and best of luck to all involved in the winter and spring athletics seasons!
