Kid Connection - Childcare Update (
January 2021)

As Elementary students return to full in person learning we wanted to remind you that Kid Connection, provided by Farmington Community Education is available for before or after school childcare for students in grades K-5 in each elementary school.

Kid Connection staff provide quality care to ensure a safe and nurturing experience. Children participate in a range of activities including science, math, literacy and physical fitness activities. Computer lab time is available, as well as quiet time for reading and homework. Our school locations provide excellent communication with principals, teachers and support staff, to create the best possible environment for the children.

Your application for participation is not guaranteed enrollment into Kid Connection. Contracts will be approved on a first come first serve basis. All contracts will be approved related to appropriate staff to student ratios, space in our schools, and health and safety mandates and guidelines. Once your contract is approved, you will receive email confirmation

  • Our staff will continue to guide and practice social distancing, sanitation, health and safety skills as required by the MN Dept. of Health, and MN Dept. of ED and CDC.
  • Drop off and Pick up will remain at the door checking in with a staff greeter.
  • In addition to wearing masks in the classroom, masks will be required when the children are in the gym taking part in physical activity.

Our program will continue to provide quality care to ensure a safe and nurturing experience. Children participate in a range of activities including science, math, literacy and physical fitness activities. Computer lab time is available, as well as quiet time for reading and homework. Our school locations will provide excellent communication with principals, teachers and support staff, to create the best possible environment for the children.
