Please review the Secondary Exposure Notification Lists linked below to see if we have been notified of a positive case of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in your child’s classroom.
If your child has been exposed to COVID-19 at school, you should monitor for symptoms of illness, but are not required to stay home unless symptoms develop. If symptoms develop, stay home, and consult with your physician to determine if a medical evaluation is needed. Please contact your health care provider to discuss quarantine/testing recommendations and monitor your child for symptoms of COVID-19.
If your child starts feeling ill, isolate them at home and away from other household members as much as possible. Please keep them and any unvaccinated household members home and contact the school nurse for further instruction. Symptoms to watch for include fever, cough, difficulty breathing, muscle aches, feeling tired, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, and vomiting.
We understand that this may create unease in our community. We have acted to clean and sanitize the facility and will closely monitor the situation and provide any necessary updates.
The most important actions each of us can take to further protect ourselves include:
- Staying home when ill
- Vaccinating all eligible family members
- Washing your hands often with soap and water; covering your cough and sneeze; avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
- Frequently cleaning all commonly touched surfaces
- Avoiding large gatherings
- Wearing a face covering
- Testing for COVID-19 when exposed or symptomatic
Please note, families can request meals for students that are in quarantine. Please find the link to register for daily meals in an orange box on the Chartwells page.
