FFA Elementary School Barnyard

On Friday, May 10th, the Farmington High School FFA Chapter brought livestock animals to North Trail Elementary School for their Annual FFA Elementary School Barnyard! Each year the FFA chooses one District 192 elementary school to set-up a barnyard for, to give the elementary school students a chance to have some hands-on experiences with agriculture. The animals that are brought are student-owned, or borrowed from local farmers such as Aaron Brand who loaned the group some dairy calves from Brand Farm. "The high school students are given the opportunity to interact with the elementary school students, and teach them about the animal’s they care for each day. This is by far one of the biggest highlights of our year!" said Karli Savaloja, FFA Advisor.
