Farmington High School graduation rate continues to be significantly above the state average

The Minnesota Department of Education has released the official graduation rates for the class of 2024 and ISD 192 continues to perform significantly above the state average. The class of 2024 graduation rate for Farmington High School was 91.7% (507 students) — 7.5% higher than the 2024 graduation rate for the state of Minnesota, which was 84.2%.
An additional 4.5% (25 students) of the Farmington High School class of 2024 are continuing to work toward graduating. When these 25 learners complete their requirements for graduation they will be accounted for in the five year graduation rate released next spring.
The five year graduation rate for the class of 2023 was 96.3%, nearly 10% more than the state average of 86.5%, with two learners still working toward graduation. Regarding the five year graduation rate, ISD 192 Superintendent Jason Berg shared: “For me this is a big deal. It’s a final report card for our system and it’s really an indicator of not only academic achievement but also a learner’s connection to a school community. If you’re a student that’s been going with a cohort of kids and you haven’t quite graduated yet but you’re willing to come back and finish it during the summer or come back for extra time the next year, I think that says a lot about the connection they’ve built in our system throughout the entire time.”
