TLLC Open House, October 1st from 10-11:30 a.m. - All Welcome!

The Farmington area community is invited to an open house at the Tiger Learning & Legacy Center (510 Walnut Street, Farmington, MN) on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10-11:30 a.m. Come enjoy tours of the recently renovated building, live music, and a chance to earn fun swag by completing a scavenger hunt!
The building at 510 Walnut Street has been known by many names since it was first built in 1913. It has served as a middle school, a high school, and a kindergarten center at various times over the years. More recently it was known as the Instructional Service Center and it housed Community Education programs, district office staff, the Farmington Food Shelf and other programs. Over the course of the last few years the building has undergone extensive renovations and updates. With community input, it also received a new name - the Tiger Learning & Legacy Center.
Updates to the building in the past few years include new paint, carpets, and ceilings. The building’s accessibility, lighting, and HVAC system have also been updated and improved to extend the life and usability of the space for many years to come. One of the most visible improvements to the property was the outdoor playground area. Thanks to the generosity of the Ames family, the blacktop courts which were beyond repair were replaced in 2020 with a new fenced in Sport Court suitable for basketball, pickleball, and other activities. In 2021 the parking lot was repaired and the windows and doors were replaced. If you haven't been to the TLLC recently, be sure to stop by for the open house and see these beautiful updates for yourself!
