Educational Benefits

2023-24 EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICATIONS (Free and Reduced Lunch)

Starting school year 2023-24, ISD 192 has joined Minnesota’s Free School Meals Program. All students can get one breakfast and one lunch free of charge each day at school. Although no application is required to receive this free meal benefit, filling out the Application for Educational Benefits is still important! Your child(ren) may qualify for other benefits such as reduced fees at school. Your application may also help the school qualify for education funds, discounts, and other meal programs.

Educational Benefits applications are mailed to all families with enrolled students at the beginning of each school year. If you do not receive one, please contact food service at 651-460-3820, or email us at [email protected].

If you have mailed in an application, and have not received a response within two weeks, PLEASE do not hesitate to call the Educational Benefits Department at 651-460-3823 to inquire about the status of your application.

If you qualify for benefits, it will begin on the date that your application is processed. We CANNOT retro-activate the benefits. Please note, the program does not cover a la carte items, such as additional entrees, or single cartons of milk.
