About Section 504
In compliance with its obligations under both Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Farmington Area Public Schools does not discriminate against otherwise qualified students with disabilities in the provision of educational programs and activities.

It is the intent of Farmington Area Public Schools to provide a free and appropriate public education to each Section 504 qualified and eligible student with a disability within its jurisdiction. A person is disabled under the definition of Section 504 if they have, have a record of having or are perceived as having, a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.  Additional information can be found under Policy 521: Student Disability Nondiscrimination.
