Senior Spotlight: Madison Dinneen

In honor of the Farmington High School 2023 graduating class, we are highlighting a few of our outstanding seniors. These students have been nominated by Farmington Area Public Schools staff members for exhibiting hard work and pursuing their spark with passion during their time at FHS. Today’s Senior Spotlight is: Madison Dinneen!

Madison was nominated for her work with Tiger Minds, a group that brings awareness and education to mental health at FHS. She is credited with spearheading the creation of the Chill Zone and other emotional regulation tools now in place at the school.

According to Madison, the biggest challenges she has overcome during her time in high school were mental health struggles. “Thanks to my family, teachers and community I was able to start healing. It’s a slow process and definitely impacted my academic and personal life but I’m proud to say because of the work I put into my mental health I’m doing a lot better,” she shared.

While at FHS, Madison has been involved in Speech, Mock Trial, the National Honor Society, the Best Buddies program, Tiger Minds, musicals, plays, and competition cheerleading. A few high school accomplishments she’s proud of include being named the Speaker of the Year (2023), an Alina Health Chill Champion, and Most Valuable Singer (2021).

When asked about her life outside of FHS, Madison said: “Outside of school I work for the City of Farmington doing parks and recreation programs and with special needs youth. I’m also a Farmington Ambassador candidate for the 2nd time. In my free time I make and listen to a lot of music!”

Here’s a little more about Madison and her time at FHS:

Advice for Future Seniors
