Farmington Area Public Schools Daily Health Screening 

The health and safety of learners and staff remains our top priority. It is important that all families and staff complete the following health self-check every morning before going to school.


Learners and Staff should remain at home if they have:

  • Tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous 10 days
  • Are waiting to get tested for COVID-19, or waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test
  • Living with someone who has symptoms and is waiting to get tested for COVID-19 or waiting for test results unless:
    • Fully vaccinated and do not have symptoms.
    • Or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days and do not have symptoms.
  • any of the following More Common Symptoms of COVID-19:
    • Fever of 100 or higher (daily home temperature check required) Without the use of fever reducing medications
    • New onset or worsening cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • New loss of taste or smell
  • Or if they have any two or more of the Lesson Common Symptoms of COVID-19
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Sore Throat
    • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
    • Excessive fatigue
    • New onset of severe headache
    • New onset nasal congestion or runny nose

If your learner has one less common symptom and you have evaluated and determined your child is well enough to attend school you may be contacted to pick the child up if their condition changes or the health office staff determine they are too ill to be in school.
