Senior Spotlight: Percy Buckner

In honor of the 2018 Farmington High School graduation, we’re highlighting a few of this year’s outstanding graduating class. Today’s Senior Spotlight is: Percy Buckner!

Percy has stayed active at FHS, participating in track and the diversity club. Outside of school, he works at Chipotle, goes to movies, and spends a lot of time with his family.

Percy has enjoyed his time at FHS, surrounding himself with people that helped the school years “go by nice and smooth.” His favorite course has been Earth Science.

His junior year, Percy was nominated for Prom Prince. Six months later, he was nominated for and won Homecoming King. Recently, he was awarded Rotary Student of the Month for April by the Rotary Club. Percy said he feels honored to be nominated for these positions.

As graduation approaches, Percy has set himself up for success in the working world. Not wanting to leave high school without a plan, Percy has decided to head to South Carolina to attend community college and complete Basic Training. “The military comes with great benefits,” said Percy. A man of many interests, Percy said his dream job is a pediatrician, because he loves to work with kids.

Advice for future seniors:

“Don’t try and rush through high school because it comes faster than you expect.”
